Road to Miss Universe 2011
Priyani Puketapu (Te Atiawa), Miss Wellington, was crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2011 at the Amora Hotel Wellington on Sunday.
Miss North Harbour, Talia Bennett, is the first runner-up and Miss Howick, Courtney Ramsdale is the second runner-up. The others rounded off the top 5 are Miss Tend-a-Foot, Nancy Yan and Miss South Vets, Isabelle Pearson.
Miss Priyani Puketapu is studying toward a bachelor of communication, majoring in journalism. She will represent New Zealand at the Miss Universe 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to take place on 12 September.
